A little nervous……ok, a LOT!
A little MORE nervous…..
Discussing what happens if the string breaks….haha! J/K! I think we were discussing how far we could see, and Maya was asking if I could see any dolphins!
Way up high…..in our SKULL parachute!
And a little bit HIGHER still!
Sand Mermaids (Maya’s pic coming soon)
More sand building! she couldn’t get enough of the beach!
More Castle building…..Josie seemed to love the sand as well!
Another huge thunder head coming down on us, this time at Sanibel….luckily this one passed us by! Look at those peaks on that thing!
The Pier at Fort Meyers
Nathaniel, Sim, and Emma drove down to see us and meet us for lunch right before we left for Disney! Was great to see them!
Our family out in front of Magic Kingdom
Riding through It’s A Small World….after freaking them both out on the Haunted Mansion ride!
Josie loved It’s A Small World
Riding on the Little Mermaid Ride with Ava….she seemed to enjoy all the lights and bright colors.
More of the Family rockin with Ariel!
Maya and Brookie looking for a good shoe shining!
Still looking….this time waiting in line…climbing up on things they probably shouldn’t be up on!
Behold…a door……that leads to our room…how exciting!
Waiting for food at the Ohano Restaurant over at the Polynsesian Resort
Andra, Josie, and Ava sitting at the Hawaiian dinner table
The Hawaiian Restaurant had the grill all fired up….and man, was it ever good!
Playin’ a little broom the coconut around the dining room floor
Josie needed a little help with the game…but she did pretty well considering.
End of a typical day at Disney…..a 2 year old utterly exhausted!
Here are a few pictures from our trip so far!

first thing….managed to WEDGE all the “babies” into the back seat!
Made it down to Metropolis and stopped for Lunch…and of course to see SuperMan!
Mmm…Subway under a Metropolis Tree
Happy, no, VERY happy to be out of her car seat!!!
Crashing on the Aero Mattress at the Hotel just past Atlanta.
First day at the Beach (Fort Meyers, FL…on the Island)
Relaxing on the beach under the Pier (Fort Meyers, FL…on the Island)
First time in the Ocean, annnnnnd….crying hysterically! Doesn’t like the waves as they go over her feet. Once she is IN the water, it is fine, but none of this relaxing waves across you toes!
building sand castles…..
Chillin’ under the umbrellas
and some fun in the ocean!
Hangin with the family!
Josie loved the water though!
the animal tube worked great!
Swimming by the Pier!
First time in the ocean….wasn’t sure what she thought about it!
Annoying bird that kept trying to snag food from everyone!
Got heading out to go para sailing….and then, had to come in because of this storm…gonna try it again on Saturday!
Crashed on the ride home from the beach…..talk about a long day!
Once back to the house, took the canoe out on the Canal!! A wet time!
Good first day out doing things. Heading to new shell beach tomorrow…..then to do some parasailing on Saturday at 10:30am. Nathaniel, Sim and Emma are coming out to meet us for lunch on Saturday as well, around noon. Can’t wait to see them! More updates coming soon!
Congratulations Maya….1st runner up!!! Check out the FAMILY section to view the video of the pageant and other fun day activities.
New Phone! So far, working great! Wanted to get a new phone that did NOT include a full data plan. I was surprised how limiting this made our search for a new phone. There were literally 3 phones that we could pick from over at Best Buy….the other 8 phones available were all full data plan phones (extra $30/mo). Luckily, this phone had pretty good reviews. I just hope it lasts for 2 years!!!
From many different reviews that I have read, it appears as though the P67 chipset is the best approach for the abuses my system will be put through! Looks like the ASRock P67 Extreme4 or the ASRock P67 Pro3 B3 motherboard. Both of these are looking like decent motherboards, with the Extreme4 looking like the probable board. Some of the heatsinks are a bit more durable, and useful then some of the heatsinks on the Extreme4 heatsinks. A GREAT review lists some of these issues over at XTREMESYSTEMS.com.
While the Intel P67 motherboards are now being considered the “old” motherboards, I wonder if the new and improved features of the Intel Z68 motherboards are even worth the price tag for my new build. I do not plan on running onboard video…..SSD caching benefits…..meh….probably will not be running an SSD. Now, better video conversion would be a nice feature, but I usually set up my video grinding and go to bed anyway. I am thinking with the Core i5 2500k that I am going to be utilizing, and perhaps eventually a core i7 2600k…..those speeds should be fast enough for what I need.
I say, go with a P67 motherboard, which is cheaper, and throw more at my ram / cpu / gpu. Older isn’t necessarily mean it’s worse. ASRock P67 Extreme4 (B3) LGA 1155 Intel P67 motherboard for the win!
I have, after reading this article, I have decided that my GMAIL account is over-run. Maybe over-run is not the right word. Perhaps, INFECTED BEYOND ALL HOPE OF A CURE!
Because of this, a new goal of mine this summer, is to TAKE BACK MY E-MAIL!
This will include, unsubscribing, setting up LABELS, and setting up better SPAM settings.
Right now my GMAIL account looks like the image to the left. We shall see if this is even possible. I’ll post updates as things occur…..or don’t occur as it were.
Attempting to create a valid CSV file for a Batch user account folder creation. Problem is, I had to export out of our Student Management system, a different CSV file with all the student names. Now, I have to go in and manually type in the correct syntax needed inside the new CSV file so the PowerShell script can understand the file and generate the folders. This might take a while….but, it is mindless work, just takes a while.
Star Wars audio book it is!!!

Today is all about the group policies. The main thing I am hoping I can do with these is to first redirect each user’s network storage folder to their Documents page, set up a password policy, set up everyone’s desktops and start menus to look the same, and set up some security so students can not delete / add programs or manipulate any key system folders or files.
I have read that all of this is possible through simply Active Directory Group Policies. We shall see….
